Conta Carros is an educational math game published by PlayDude. This page explains, plainly, what the game does with information.
Summary: the game itself does not collect, send or share any of your data — it does not ask for sign-up, name, age or any sensitive device permission. What it stores stays on your device. The only thing that uses the internet is the ad banner at the bottom, served by Google AdMob in child-directed mode: non-personalized ads, without the advertising identifier and limited to the most restrictive content rating.
What stays on your device
The game saves two things in the app's own local storage, so you don't need to set everything up again each time:
contacarros_config— the chosen language, the difficulty (operations and maximum number of digits), the narration, sound and music switches, the chosen voice, and whether the tutorial has been seen.contacarros_stats— how many sums were answered, how many right and wrong answers, how many races were completed, the total score, and the accuracy for each operation.
None of this identifies you. These are numbers and preferences, with no name, no e-mail, no age, no identifier of any person or device. This information never leaves the device: there is nowhere to send it.
You can delete the statistics at any time in Statistics → Reset statistics. Uninstalling the app deletes everything.
Voice narration
The game reads the sums out loud using the text-to-speech feature that already comes installed on your Android device. The game only asks the system to say a sentence; it does not record audio, does not use the microphone and does not send text to any external service. The app does not request microphone permission — and it couldn't, because that permission is not declared.
The available voices belong to your device's speech engine. How that engine handles its own data is governed by the policy of the device or engine maker, not by this one.
Internet
The game works offline. There is no login, no account, no sync and no online leaderboard. PlayDude has no server that receives any data from the game. The only communication with the internet is the ad, described below — without internet, the game keeps working normally, just without the ad banner.
Ads
Conta Carros shows one ad strip (banner) at the bottom, in the menu and during play, with space reserved in the layout so it never covers the answers. There are no full-screen ads, no video ads and no rewarded ads.
Ads are served by Google AdMob, an ad network self-certified for the Google Play Families program. Since the game is directed at children, every ad request is marked as child-directed (child-directed treatment and under the age of consent) and configured for:
- non-personalized ads — no interest-based advertising and no remarketing;
- maximum content rating General (G);
- no Android advertising identifier: the permission that gives access to it was removed from the app.
To deliver the ad, measure its display and prevent fraud, the Google AdMob SDK processes technical information, such as device identifiers other than the advertising identifier (for example, the app set ID), IP address, device model and operating system, language, and ad diagnostic and performance data. This data is transmitted encrypted and handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and the rules for ads to children; PlayDude does not receive this data in a way that identifies you or the child.
Children
Conta Carros was made for children and takes part in Google Play's Designed for Families program, following the Families Policy. The game does not ask for, collect or store children's personal information. There is no chat, no interaction between users and no in-app purchases. Only two things can lead outside the game: the ad itself, limited to the General rating, and the link to this policy on the About screen — which only opens the browser after an adult answers a multiplication question.
Parents and guardians can write to the contact below with questions or to request any action about the child's data.
What the game does NOT do
- does not ask for name, e-mail, phone number, age or any sign-up
- does not access contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or location
- does not use the Android advertising identifier
- does not show personalized ads
- does not install its own usage analytics tool
- does not sell anyone's information
- does not send notifications
- does not have in-app purchases
Android permissions
The game itself only needs internet, and only for the ad. The other permissions below come into the app together with the Google AdMob SDK (the library that shows the ad) and with the Android libraries it uses: the game uses none of them. All are normal permissions, granted at install time without any prompt on screen, and none gives access to contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or location.
INTERNET— access the internet. Used only to load the ad banner.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— know whether the device is connected to the internet, without seeing what is accessed. It lets the ads SDK know whether an ad can be loaded.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTIONandACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS— access to Android's own ad features (the "Privacy Sandbox"): a system ad identifier, ad measurement and interest topics. They come declared in the AdMob SDK. Since every ad request in this game is marked as child-directed and non-personalized, the ad is not chosen by interests or by advertising identifier.WAKE_LOCK— let a short background task of these libraries finish even if the screen turns off. The game does not use it to keep the screen on.FOREGROUND_SERVICE— comes from the Android background task library that the SDK uses. The game does not run a foreground service and does not show notifications.com.playdude.contacarros.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION— internal permission, created automatically by the Android libraries so that parts of the app itself can talk to each other. No other app can use it.
The app does not declare the Google advertising identifier permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): it was removed on purpose because this is a children's app.
How long and how to delete
What the game stores on the device stays there until you delete the statistics in the game menu or uninstall the app, which removes everything permanently. PlayDude keeps no copy of anything. Technical data handled by Google AdMob follows Google's retention periods, described in its policy.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts doing something different, this page will be updated before the change reaches the app, and the date at the top will change.
