Privacy Policy — Troll Dude
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Troll Dude exists in two forms, with different privacy in each:
Web version (page in the browser or offline HTML file): collects no data at all. It runs 100% offline, with no network, no account, no ads and no purchases.
Android app (Google Play): shows ads (Google AdMob network) and offers a one-time purchase, Anti-AD, which removes the ads. The developer does not collect, receive or store any personal data on a server of its own — the data described below is collected directly by Google (AdMob and Google Play Billing), not by us. Whoever buys Anti-AD stops seeing ads and, with that, stops having data collected by the ad network.
1. The two versions of the game
Troll Dude is a 2D platform game made in plain JavaScript. It is distributed in two forms, which behave differently regarding data:
- Web version — played directly in the browser or as a single HTML file that works offline. It makes no network requests, shows no ads, has no purchases and collects no data.
- Android app — published on Google Play. Besides the game itself, it includes the Google AdMob ad network and the Anti-AD in-app purchase, described in sections 3 and 4 below.
Everything described in sections 3 and 4 (ads and the Anti-AD purchase) applies only to the Android app — the web version never had and does not have any of these features.
2. What is the same in both versions
- There is no account, sign-up, e-mail or password created by the game, in either version.
- The developer has no server of its own and collects no data directly.
- There is no Google Analytics, no behavior tracking inside the game and no sale of data to anyone.
- The progress of a match (lives, coins, deaths) is not sent anywhere — it stays only in memory while you play, and is lost when you close or reload the game.
- The map editor draft (section 5) stays only on the device, in both versions.
3. Ads (Android app only)
Android app only
The Android app shows ads through the Google AdMob network. To show and measure these ads, AdMob collects, directly on your device:
- Device advertising identifier (Advertising ID);
- IP address;
- Device model, operating system and language;
- Interactions with ads (views, taps).
This data goes directly to Google, which acts as an independent controller of this data — the Troll Dude developer does not receive, see or store any of it. The purpose is to show and measure the ads and to limit how many times the same ad is repeated.
You can reset or delete your device's advertising identifier at any time in Android Settings → Google → Ads (the exact path may vary depending on the Android version).
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent form before the ads, as required by the GDPR.
More details: Google Privacy Policy and Google partner policy.
Whoever buys Anti-AD (section 4) stops seeing ads and, with that, stops having any of this data collected by AdMob.
4. Anti-AD purchase (Android app only)
Android app only
The Android app offers a one-time, optional purchase, Anti-AD, which removes the ads. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play Billing:
- The developer does not receive, see or store card numbers or any bank data — that stays entirely with Google.
- The developer only receives the confirmation that the purchase exists, to unlock the benefit (removing the ads).
- The purchase is tied to your Google account. The app checks Google Play when it opens to restore the purchase automatically if you reinstall or change devices.
5. What is saved on your device
The only data stored locally (in both versions) is created by the map editor, a tool separate from the game itself. When you draw a map in it, the draft is saved in local storage (localStorage), under a key called troll_rascunho, only so you can test the map without losing it when reloading.
- This draft contains no personal data about you — only the content of the map you drew.
- It never leaves your device: it is not sent to any server.
To delete the editor draft, just clear the site/app data in your browser or in Android settings (Settings → Apps → Troll Dude → Storage → Clear data).
6. Who data is shared with
The Troll Dude developer does not sell or share data with anyone — because it collects none directly. In the Android app, the only data that exists is collected directly by two Google services, each for its own purpose:
- Google AdMob — advertising identifier, IP, device data and ad interactions, to show and measure the ads (section 3).
- Google Play Billing — payment data, to process the Anti-AD purchase (section 4).
In neither case does the developer receive, see or store this data — it stays with Google, the independent controller of this information.
7. Your rights under the LGPD
Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018), you have the right to confirmation that processing exists, access, correction, deletion and other rights over personal data processed about you.
In the web version, no personal data about you is collected for you to exercise these rights over. In the Android app, ad data (AdMob) and payment data (Google Play Billing) stay with Google, not with the developer — the developer does not hold this data to delete or correct it. To exercise your rights over this data, use Google's own channels:
- Manage/delete the advertising identifier: Android Settings → Google → Ads;
- Google Privacy Center: myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
Any question or request about the game itself can be sent directly to the contact below.
8. Children
Troll Dude is suitable for all ages. The developer does not collect any personal data from anyone directly, regardless of the player's age.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated in the future, the new version will be published on this same page, with the date at the top updated. We recommend reviewing this page from time to time.
