Privacy Policy — Ad ID Finder
Effective as of October 11, 2026 (version 1.0.0)
App: Ad ID Finder · package com.playdude.adidfinder
Developer: PlayDude
Contact: lgpd@playdude.com.br
Summary: Ad ID Finder shows information that is already on your device, including the Advertising ID. It does not collect, send or share personal data.
The app has no internet access, does not ask for sign-up, does not show ads and does not use analytics or tracking tools. It is not an official Google or AdMob app.
1. What the app reads
- Advertising ID and the ad personalization opt-out flag, through the official Google Play services API. The reading happens when the app opens, when you tap Refresh and when you return to the app.
- Device information from public Android APIs: manufacturer, brand, model, Android version and API level, supported ABIs, screen resolution and density, total and available memory, battery level and charging status, and the version of the app itself.
The app does not read the IMEI, serial number, Android ID, location, contacts, files or any other identifier.
2. Where the data stays
Everything stays on the device. The Advertising ID is kept only in memory while the app is open: it is not written to disk, does not go to logs and is not read in the background. PlayDude does not receive this identifier or any other information from the app.
3. When data leaves the app
Only when you ask for it:
- Copy — the text goes to the Android clipboard, where the keyboard and the app you paste it into can read it.
- Send — the Advertising ID goes to WhatsApp, Telegram or your e-mail app, whichever you choose; you choose the recipient and confirm the message there. From then on, the rules of the chosen app apply.
- Share — the report goes to the app you choose in the Android share menu.
- Export — the TXT or JSON file is saved wherever you choose in the system file picker.
Reports do not contain the full Advertising ID unless you turn that option on. The "Copy configuration data" button on the AdMob Test Tools screen includes the ID, and this is written on the button itself.
Documentation links open in your browser; those sites have their own privacy policies.
4. Android permissions
| Permission | What for |
|---|---|
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID |
Required by Android to read the Advertising ID, which is the app's purpose. |
com.playdude.adidfinder.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION |
Internal permission generated by the AndroidX library to protect the app itself. It gives no access to any data. |
The app does not ask for location, storage, camera, contacts or internet.
5. What is saved
Only your preferences: the theme and the initial report options. They stay in the app's private storage and are not included in cloud backups or transfers between devices.
6. What the app does not do
- It does not block or remove ads from other apps.
- It does not generate clicks, impressions or installs and does not change advertising metrics.
- It does not change any device setting on its own.
- It does not register the device in any AdMob account.
7. Children
Ad ID Finder is a technical tool for a general audience and is not directed at children. It does not collect personal data from anyone.
8. Data deletion and your rights
PlayDude keeps no server or database with user information for this app, so there is no data of yours with us to delete. Preferences are removed in Android Settings → Apps → Ad ID Finder → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling. To reset or delete the Advertising ID, use Android's own ad settings. For any request about your data, write to lgpd@playdude.com.br.
This applies to the rights provided by the LGPD (Brazilian Law 13.709/2018), the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA.
9. Changes to this policy
If a future version starts using the internet, showing ads or collecting any data, this page is updated before the new version reaches the store, and the effective date at the top changes with it.
